Indexing is looking at a particular trait and measuring it against the general population. It’s a comparison stat with a score of 100 as the baseline, so, for example, people with a score of 120 for that trait ‘over index’ by 20% and, vice versa, those with a score under 100 ‘under index’. We show the national index (comparing to other people in the nation as a whole) and a regional index (comparing to the region you’re zoomed into).
Yes, it will help you understand the concentration of that trait relative to the region or the nation. Relative to the other post codes, there is a higher concentration of a specific trait in that specific post code. With our audience search capabilities, we can also set up rules based on proportions. For example, you could target postcodes with over 70% students, so you would then know that post code is comprised primarily of students.
Blis uses tight geofences to capture a brand’s audience over a period of time. We’re also able to ingest a client’s desired locations on application.
The look-back window varies per brand and brand category based on the observed visitation rate, e.g., more people go into a supermarket each week than into a car dealership, so we need to look at a longer period of time for the latter.

We will issue an invoice with the final reconciled CPM and delivered impressions. If it’s our IO, we will issue a new IO, however, if it’s client IO, the client can choose to issue new reconciled IO if they wish.
Audience Explorer uses Dynamic Audience Targeting – a multi-factor tool. And other platforms that don’t have these combined data and targeting layers cannot execute the type of nuanced rules and modelling that Blis performs. Dynamic Audience Targeting is currently available through our managed service or self-serve Blis DSP (when available).
